What tool do I need to disconnect the trans line into the radi?

I think it is a 3/8" fuel-line "quick" disconnect tool. May want to double check the size, I could be wrong. Good luck, even with the tool it took me a while to get the radiator loose from the very predicament you are in.

Make sure you get the Chrysler tool, the ford one won't work. They are both 3/8 but the ford is thicker.

No, you want a metal one, because if yours is anything like mine it's so corroded that the plastic ones won't work.
