I'm looking into bedlining my roof, rocker panel, and possibly hood. Which brand would you recommend for roll on bed liner? I've looked into Herculiner but I heard it fades to grey in a lot of sun...

 

Highly recommended. Sprayed my bumpers, rocker panels & factory flares. Lots of prep work but it turned out great.

Pretty sure all bedliners fade to gray after some time if a final clear coat or anything isn't used on em. I know that the rear quarter panel guards I did a couple months ago have already faded pretty good cause I didn't use a final coat of any kind on em. Then again I used the rattle can Duplicolor brand. That may have something to do with it

 

LOL about the duplicolor spray can, I tried using it on mu bumpers. As soon as it was dry, it was grey.

I used the stuff from Walmart that cost around 75 bucks with everything, and painted the majority or my jeep. Looks good so far.

I would suggest using the clear coat for a few reasons.
1st: Prevent Fading
2nd: So much easier to clean mud out.

 

How much is that stuff? Hard to do? I'm thinking I might just get a gallon of Herculiner for $80.

 

I've used the Rustoleum truck bed liner before and it stayed black for quite a while before fading.

 

It is definitely worth getting this over Herculiner. This is as close to the professional stuff as I could find. Company is out of Houston, so they know UV protection to keep from fading. It was not hard to do at all. Just time consuming for the prep work and taping. 1.5 gal is around $90 and 3 gal is around $150. You can buy their gun or just go to Harbor Freight and get this one. It worked great.

Durabak with the UV has held up very well on my heep and it looks as good as the day I put it on. No fading at all..It has been on for over two years now and it still looks good.

 

Thats what I used to do my Jeep and I love it!
