Does anyone successfully use beam wipers on an XJ? I’ve tried a few different brands, and right out of the box they chatter unless it’s either dry or it’s pouring. If it wasn’t for the short lifespan and lesser performance of Anco winter blades, I’d just go back to those. They never chattered.

It’s not just the XJ, but all my older cars that use the same side pin mounting do the exact same thing. Those cars have stop blocks at the park position that quickly creates dead spots in conventional blades, also they don’t work as well anyway. But the old wipers never chattered either.

Does anyone else have issues of beam wiper chatter vs conventional blades? And any solutions?

Maybe flush and switch the window washer to water, clean the windshield with ammonia and try RainX for glass ??
