Default battery recommendations

I need a new battery and I want one that will last longer than one month after the one year warranty. Some people swear by Optimas but I'm not really in the mood to spend $200. Any suggestions? So far I'm running an amp and car alarm, but will need more power if I add a winch. Thanks

I have an interstate. It was a factory blemish (had a scratch across the top) so I only paid $35. I've had it for almost 7 years now!

I've heard great things about diehards. But I've always ran duralast. I'm running sub, piaa lights, winch, cb radio with good luck

What's the dirrerence between red, yellow and blue Optimas? I'm on my second Duralast that's crapped on me in 4 years so I'm definitely not going with that one.

red is cold cranking, yellow is deep cell, blue is marine deep cell.

all optimas are gel batteries, no acid.

They aren't quite gel cell. The electrolyte is suspended in fiberglass matting between the layers in the spiral cells. So they won't leak if cracked. And you can mount them at any angle. Even upside down. (Not only did I used to sell them, I'm also an owner lol)
