Default Battery issue

Need some help. When I bought my jeep the guy had a small *** battery in it but it would fire up everytime. So I installed my mc style lights and the next day the battery was dead. Switch wasn't left on or anything. So I figures screw it and bought the correcT battery. Well today we goto fire it up to load on trailer for a weekend of mudding and it's dead. What would cause the battery to be draining. Oh and I didn't have the terminals hooked up either because I had a feeling it was draining power. Fix???

Just so I have this right, you are saying that the second battery which was correct size and brand new, went dead in your Jeep without the main battery terminals connected? If that is the case, that battery could only have been bad from the parts store shelf and you need to return it for your money or a good battery. In the case of the first battery going dead after you installed your lights, check all of your wiring and any relays. You have got a short somewhere that is slowly draining your battery overnight.
