Default Bastard pack question

The s10 or the blazer needs to be a 4x4 or does it matter?
I found a pair of rear springs off of a 98 blazer that's 4wd for 40$ so should I go ahead and get em?

I believe it does not matter. Use your XJ main so it bolts back up properly.

Then that makes it so much easier. I know to use the XJ main and the whole blazer pack for 3.5" right?

I don't know if the blazer will net you the same as an S10... I used a 2001 S10 Zr2 leaf pack and got 4" from it. I used all but the overload spring.
Make sure you get some larger centering pins for the Chevy springs and some really hard drill bits...you have to drill out your centering pin holes on the XJ mains.

I'm not really looking for anymore than 4 inches. I'd be pretty happy with 3. I wonder if anyone has used the packs from a blazer then

Well you can mix and match leaves from your xj pack and the blazer/s10 pack to get what height you need...I just happened to use everything minus overload for my application...get a pack and experiment!

Its holding up awesome...I need to change my shackle angle, but the pack flexes great and I get the added weight carrying abilities from those heavier duty leaves. Haven't lost any height with it in the 7 months I've had it on there and I've been hauling around 500lbs on a pretty regular basis I'd say, and the leaves are awesome!
