Basic Tansfer Case Question
If I had an NP231J should it mount up to any jeep transmission? What I mean is if I pulled the TC out of my 94 Cherokee 5 Speed Man and tried to install it into my 94 Cherokee Automatic, would it just bolt up or are the output shafts on both trannys different? dont need to get crazy in depth with this, just need to know if it will or will not work and a basic why. thanks!

I think your only issue might be the spline count.
Seems I read someplace they're different sized shafts/spline count.
One reason I didn't pull the xfer case from my parts XJ since it was
automatic and mines a AX-15

I believe the only spline count change was in '93 iirc so I'm pretty sure it will mount right up! Wait for someone to chime in or search np231 swap
