So where can we get these OEM spicer ball joints from, without having to go to the expensive dealership that sells them at 140 for 2pc kit.
Need to do my lower pass. Ball joint, all the other ones are good, so i do not need a kit.

Here's the website to the place I walked into...

http://tandjperformance.com/

They were a lot of help. And didn't laugh at me too much when I showed up at their front counter with 20lbs of steering knuckle in a backpack. 0_o

But Aljay is right, you can order the spicers at just about any offroad store.

Yes these upper ball joints are wrong. They install and look fine, but the stem length is too long moving the outer knuckle down after it is installed. Imagine how that will tear up the axle splines and all else.

I am new here and I post today hoping someone can explain why I can't find the correct upper ball joint for my 97 Laredo. It's gonna be Tuesday and $180 before the OEM part is in my hand to look at.

I had to break a lower to convince to Oreily guy I was not stupid. I took the upper and a towel and a c-clamp to Napa and the guy there let me clamp what he had down and it was perfect the first try. I did both sides last night ion the dark

The wrong ones were 1/4" too long when installed. It is hard to spot because the outer knuckle is so far on the upper joint stem that I put the nut on and torqued it. The knuckle wouldn't turn so I knew something was off, and that was my saving grace yesterday. The tire locked or I would have been down the road on the wrong parts.

I installed so many ball joints yesterday I feel like I woke up from having the flu.
