I would imagine, if you hammer on a socket, or star wrench or something similar, and use enough leverage, you can break it loose, even if you have to break the stud.. you are going to have all that junk off anyway when you replace the UBJ, so you can replace the stud then.

i forsee that not holding up to the torque necessary to take that lugnut off. if you had one you could give it a shot, but i wouldnt spend the $$. if you have an air hammer you can try to split it that way. steel or aluminum rims?

hmm. last summer my cousin and i had to get a wasted nut off a beater he picked up. we ended up destroying the rim to get it all apart. it was an aluminum wheel tho

This is the route I would go. If you don't have a tool that would do the job, borrow it from someone you may know or just met. Many other wheelers in my area have helped me out the day of meeting them.

I don't know what type of rim and lugs you are running but if you can get a cut off wheel in there I would just chop it off and replace the stud after.

 

im running stock rims. no clearance in there for that.. =(.
