did the new ball joint came with new bolts? you can cut off the nut on the old bolt to get it out either use a grinder with a cut off wheel or you can try the hack saw method

what i have done is get a socket that's a little smaller beat it on with a hammer and get a breaker bar or ratchet if that's all you have put a piece of pipe on the end ans pull it should come off i know the stock lug is a 19 mill socket so you can try and 18 or find a reg(7/8)maybe? hope this helps i know napa sells a socket set designed to grab rounded off bolts

well, sad to say. but that bolt will nottttt budge. its rounded off.. the "coating/cover" on the nut fell off. i tried removing that. nope. stripped that to. i think someone had an elephant or Rosie o Donald sit on the wrench to tighten that bad boy. any other suggestions? maybe splitting the nut?

if you have a chisel you can split the bolt down one side but be extra careful not to damage the stud

you will have to remove the brake caliper and bracket remove the rotor there should be enough room to drive it out with a hammer then reinstall the new one use an extra lug nut to tighten down on it so that it pulls it through till it is seated all the way then reinstall all components you removed
