Default bad UCA bushing - vibration?

1999 cherokee xj 4x4 113k
Will a bad UCA bushing cause a high speed vibration? I am still tracking down a vibration over 60. It is almost a thrumming feeling? Like a bad belt in tire- but that has been eliminated. (see previous post) I will find a solution to this! What are symptoms of a bad UCA? Other than a visual. Just working through drivetrain....

thanks

Bad UCA bushings can cause a rough ride and sometimes death wobble. What you're describing sounds like a tire, brake, or U joint problem.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? Having a similar issue and it’s not my wheels.

If you have bad UCA, its pretty obvious from visual inspection.

If they are bad, you have to change them out to fully eliminate vibration.

The normal situation with an XJ, is you have to rebuild the suspension system.

The trackbar is the No1. UCA and LCA also must be good. These parts locate the front suspension

If you vehicle is lifted, it gets more critical the higher you go

The UCA is not an easy job, so be prepared, check the archives.

My '96 has no vibration. I have replaced the following parts (adjustable) trackbar, UCA and LCA + bushes, new springs, upper ball joints, shocks, wheels & tyres, swaybar and all bushes, engine and trans mounts, hub/bearing units. 3.5" lift

Not changed yet, steering damper, tie rod ends, lower ball joints, u-joints

Post is 11 years old.... you'd have better luck private messaging the original poster than digging up the old thread.
