Well the way it looked to me was the nut was kind of the seal, it's kinda hard to gauge because if the nut is coming loose when its not supposed to then I might be missing a lock washer or something? Or maybe its just the play in the yoke/output shaft thats making the nut come loose, and thats why maybe the yoke is supposed to fit very snuggly on the output shaft? IDK, because I've never taken a yoke off before on a jeep that didnt make any annoying sounds on the road lol.

I think probably you have a bad bearing there. I think there is a seal right there where the yoke/shaft goes into the T-Case. If it's not leaking you should check the fluid. It should be pretty solid side to side I think.

I mean, if it's loose and wobbling, how can the seal, seal?

I happen to be a mechanic and actually have the same problem you do my yoke is bad also I'm not gonna say he isn't screwing you over cause we all know there are those mechanics out there sadly but from what you've said I would guess replacing the yoke is a good idea but the bearing could also be shot to if the yoke is bad as In my case so you could either rebuild or take the risk with the scrap yard t case

Pull of the yoke and see if you have any play in the output shaft, if not then it is your yoke. DFlintstone is correct when he says there should be no play in the yoke. The front output seal runs on the shiny lip on the back of the yoke if it is not already leaking it will be soon. If the output shaft has play then it's your output bearing. The bearing is a 6206 non shielded.
