Hey guys, another problem again lol My Jeep sometimes starts in Park but then other times I have to start it in Neutral then sometimes won't start at all. New battery so can't be it. Then when it does start, runs fine, could drive all day. Then when I goto turn it back on it won't start or it cranks really slow. Could it be bad starter, nss, alternator?? I would appreciate any help/experience if this has had happen to anyone else

Edit: juSt thought about it, does it ever stall on you when your idling or stop at a light, good chance that is your starter going on ya

I might be wrong, but I don't think you have a PCV valve. For slow cranking, I'd check battery cable connections and grounds. Make sure they are clean and tight.

1. Here is a link to "refurbishing" the neutral safety switch. Highly recommended for your situation.
2. Cranking slowly would have nothing to do with the CCV system (crankcase ventilation).
Sometimes starters can fail in this way. But start with freshening all electrical grounds and connections and also use a meter to test to see the exact voltage directly at the starter with the key in the ON position. If you see much less than what is at the battery itself, you are experiencing voltage drop and you need to start working your way back into the engine bay to find out why (bad cable, etc)
Good luck!

Thanks alot for the link and info. Im gonna get into that this weekend and clean it. The new price is ridiculous, I know you have tobe real careful with the nss. All in all, I had my buddy test the starter and it was bad. He said, the reason why after it wouldent restart is because it was getting all the juice it could from the battery. Replaced starter and fires right up. Gonna clean nss and also maybe get new battery cables, these ones look kinda beat and maybe have alternator tested, its the original and my 4L has 185k on it
