Default Bad shakimg wen punchimg accelerator

Few months ago I noticed the vacuum housing I believe its called for the 4x4 on the roght front axle of a dana30 was disconnected, I connected it all back up and now every now and then I have a "Part time" light that flashes on and off on my dash, past few days its been constantly on. , recently had the right front inner axleshaft seals replaced , the part time light used never b on until I hooked that connector back up, anyways wat im gettin at is, wen turning and getting up on the gas I have a minor to bad shaking, and taking off gettin up on the gas it sometimes does it, not all the time tho , but does anyone kno wat it is or could be?

is it the right vaccum line? beacuse it sounds like the shaking is being caused by the front axle being connected when its not supposed to be

Wen I bought my jeep it was disconnected and zip tied up, I do believe wen I put it in 4x4 the oart time ligbt goes off? Lol im not understanding any of this wat its supposex to do lol . Colorado_96 asked if the vacuum line is connected properly, not of it's position was on the right (or left) side of axle.. And as for your issue, idk, if you have a vac line installed incorrectly then the shudder could have something to do with this, or it's coincidental. How are u joints, alignment, trac bar, and all other steering and drive line components?

Like I said wen I bought it , it was unhooked and zip tied off I wanna, say the 4x4 worked I sure I used it getting in and outta my yard few times ???

Get a manual like a haynes,Name: rtft.gif
Views: 75
Size: 1.9 KB it will show all the proper hook-ups for you. A FSM is better but the haynes is only 20 bucks at the auto parts.

You could leave that front axle engaged forever and it wouldn't cause a shake. The factory eliminated all that vacuum crap and shift motor junk in late 91. So 91 and later were always engaged. Here's a simple way to eliminate that system and know you'll get 4wd when you need it.

As mentioned, the vac actuator should not be a contributing factor to your vibes. The fact that they get worse when your Part-Time light is engaged (to me anyway) tells the that it is front drive shaft/pinion related. With the front axle disconnected, the front drive shaft is free to turn at any speed, but with the axle connected the front DS has to spin proportionally to your speed (*oversimplified, but...). I would start by checking your front DS U-Joints and ensure your front pinion isn't all sloppy. If they are OK (and assuming you have a lift), then next thing I would look at is your front pinion angle. It may be that when you hammer down on the gas, the axle-wrap up front is causing the drive shaft angles to exceed the max operating angles of the U-Joint(s).

I helped a friend of mine swap motors in his old S10 pick up this past spring. We put a junk yard motor in it and when we were done it shook like hell when accelerating. His step dad had his shop guy check it out and it had a bad injector and was missing at higher RPMs, not at cruising speeds though.

I'm just throwing this out there.
