I have just bought a 1993 xj with the four litre. this jeep was a theft recovery and needed a steering column. I have changed it out and it still wont run. There is no power to the injectors. I have also changed the crankshaft position sensor, distributor and it has new plugs wires and rotor. The jeep will start and run when you pour gas into the throttle body and runs good until it runs out of gas. Any help would be appreciated.

 

fuel pump relay,or fuse or pump itself maybe

 

forgot to mention that all the fuses are good and have the recommended fuel pressure at the injector rail.

 

have you traced the wires back to insure they are in good condition and not burnt,or shorted?if not there is a good chance it is. A scan tool would help.

 

all the wireing looks good other than one part that has a crimp in it but it doesnt feel like the wire is broke inside. dont really have the money for the expensive diagnosis tools or to pay the high price for an auto shop to do it either. might be willing to part out things off this jeep if i cant get it running soon need something let me know. i really just bought it for a play toy so even if i get it running it more than likely wont be put on the road any thing i dont need to drive it could be sold
