Bad Coil and P0340 ?

Bad Coil and P0340 ?
Could having a bad coil and having a P0340 code be related? My XJ died while driving a couple of miles away from home. Had it towed to Jeep and it turned out to be a bad coil. My check engine light is out so periodically I run my code reader on it. Got a P0340 , Cam Position Sensor circuit bank1. I'll probably just change out the cam position sensor anyway. Could the 2 be related?
