It seems like a lot of work, But its really easy. The only thing that can be a pain is actually removing the NSS from the shaft after all the bolts have been removed. My lights have worked perfect ever since

But be really careful and do not break it. Its very expensive. I think around the 200 dollar range. You can use some PB blaster. But if you use a flat tip as a pry bar, Be very careful

Default NSS?

What does NSS stand for, I've heard of this issue B4 and it is to my knowledge a mechanical contact on the top of the transmission, is that the NSS? The issue was the part becomes rusted out, I'd guess were talking about the same thing since the reply on the other forum said the same thing that it was stupid pricey to replace and to be careful when fixing it. It is a ***** to work on as far as I understand it. The way it works simply is you shift into reverse and it engages, rusted contact and bingo no lights.
