Replace the transmission with an AX-15 - information abounds.
The BA-10/5 was only marginal in its original application (Peugeot 505,) and that was with half the engine, two-thirds the kerb weight, and a little over half the torque. I've been through four of the damned things - the only real compensation is that they can usually be had just for the askin'.
It's not worth the trouble to overhaul the thing, and it's a pain to strip down even with a manual near to hand (I've torn four of them down for scrap.)

"jumping out of gear" usually means there is something messed up with the fork, syncro sleeve, or hub. If its anything like the AX-15 inside you should see some discoloration on the fork if its the culprit or damage to the teeth on the syncro sleeve or hub. You'll need to drop it and split the housing to see for sure. I highly doubt it has anything to do with the fluid. Once its in, its in, unless the teeth are damaged or the fork isn't engaging them enough. GL buddy, I just rebuilt my AX-15, its a good bit of work...

As I said, the BA-10 is marginal at best for the Peugeot 505 w/low output four-cylinder engine, putting it behind the AMC six was one of the true atrocimacies of automotive design!
