The XJ leafs are thinner than the S10 or Dakota leafs so adding extra stock leafs would not give the desired effect.

What do you mean by hockey puck lift? I hoipe you don't think that using pucks as an actual lift component is wise in any way.

For the bastard pack, yes lot of people use 2 combined XJ packs. Depending on the amount of leafs you use will depend on the lift. And if you are referring to a body lift.. our XJ's are uniframe and do not have a sperate frame. YOu can use coil spacers in the front, if you do not want to use coils.

We cut the eyes off the s10 top spring and used it as the second spring in a stock XJ pack and got about 3 inches and rode decent. Just make sure when you cut the leaf you taper the ends so they don't gouge the others.

The reason people use s-10 leafs is that they are designed to go under axle where as xjs are over axle so the s10 has more of an arch. s10 leaves will give you more lift than building with an xj pack. people use xj packs when the wanna get a little lift but keep a nice flat pack that flexes better than a high arch spring. did i get it all? kinda tired
