Alright I have stock axles on the xj
I want to know what axles are wider ? I would like to widen my foot print and what axles are pretty close to direct swap? But maintaining the wide foot print

There are no bolt in axles for the front that are wider so plan on some fab work. The rear is fairly simple. Most any 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton will work.
Waggy axes are about an inch wider, so 1/2" each side. Full widths are anywhere from 5-8" wider for single wheel axles.
Check local laws to see how much tire you can legally have out past the fenders before you do a swap so you don't end up getting fines.

Oh good God.
Please tell me you know that you don't swap axle shafts, you must swap more than that.
Or you could just get rims with better backspacing and wider tires.

Ford Dana 44s from 76-77 Broncos and F150s(78-79 have cast wedges and are hard to fab) and 76-79 F250s are a good choice for the front. They are high pinion, the 250 versions are 8 lug but knuckles swap out with any 44 for 5 or 6 lug. They are around 67" wms to wms. The rear axles that can be found with those are the 9" and Dana 60. HP Dana 60 fronts can be found in F350s but the 80s versions have very little tube on the drivers side to work with. Dodge uses a drive drop 44 and 60 front but both are low pinion and some have a CAD.
Keep in mind these will widen you a good 3" plus each side and if all you want is an inch or so it can be done with wheels with less backspacing.
Also keep in mind you loose ground clearance with all these axles and with a tire less than 35" they are overkill.

Swapping any other axle in is a whole lot more than a little fab work. You will have to move spring perches and shock mounts in the rear, weld on control arm mounts, track bar mount, etc in the front. Just get some wheel spacers for the 1 1/2 inches your looking for.

the best and least $ way to get a wider foot print is to get wheels like i have that are 15 by 10s with a 3 3/4 back spacing. and a nice 12.50 or 13.50 tire.
thats just my .02 cents. then you can save the money you where gonna put towards axles and get a good lift

As I told you, and others told you later, all you have to do is get different rims and tires. Ok Dick?
If u haven't figured out or been told yet this is a family friendly forum. Chill out with the language. Another thing...before u blow up on somebody remember that u came to us for advice so OBVIOUSLY u don't know what u doing. I've personally learned ALOT on this forum by using the search button. There's enough guys on here that have done these swaps and if u show a little patience then maybe somebody will be willing to help u. These guys get tired of seeing the same tech thread questions and having to give the same answers because someone didn't use search. I'm no expert and drive a tonka toy compared to some of these rigs and I'm getting tired of seeing the same questions over and over. If u continue flaming people then I suggest u go try your luck on pirate4x4 and let me know how that works out for ya. Otherwise try and be nice.

Hey, what do ya know? You like an idea that I suggested much earlier i this thread. Crazy how that happens.

Rims with good backspacing would be a better choice in my opinion. That way you aren't adding parts to an already fragile piece of equipment.
