Default axle swap

i just purchased a 96 cherokee country i plan to put 5.5 re lift and 33s for the time being while i save some money to purchase gears and lockers then i would like to put some 35s on it. I read that you could swap the rear axle out for a dana 44 from a 87-90 cherokee for real cheap and no modifications. My question is would this axle be strong enough to hold up to 35s or should i go bigger if so what and what would be the cheapest and strong enough axle swap for the front? Thankyou

A D44 out of an early XJ would handle 35s just fine.
