What year Rubicon's are the D44's found in and are they bolt in or is some fabrication needed? Thanks

The front will bolt in, bus as mentioned before, its not a "true" D44

the rear will need all new bracketing since its setup for coils

not all 84-90's D30's are disco's but it is a good rule to follow as the majority are. you will know if you have a disco by looking at it. If there is a buldge on the axle shaft housing between the diff and the control arm mounts on the passenger side then this is a disconnect axle.

There are a few reasons:
The Cast Disconnect Housing has 2 tubes pressed in instead of 1 continious tube.

Failure of the vacuum system (leaks, broken actuators, etc leads to a loss of 4wd.

Intermmidiate shaft is connected to the inner shaft via a smaller coupler. 3 parts to fail vs. 1 continious shaft.

Small u-joints as previously mentioned.

Little to no aftermarket support for OTA track-bar brackets

All Rubicon axles thru 06 are the same. Not really a 100% bolt in since the LCA mounts are at a slight angle. About 5 deg. IIRC.

I disagree. 91 was the first year that non-disco-axles started to appear. Prior to that the OEM config was CAD.
