are you sure thats the 8.25?
I'm pretty sure 1990-1999 all had the d35 only
did someone swap it in?
well if you do have the 8.25 its pretty good. holds 33in tall tires no problem

You sure you have the 8.25 and not the 35?

My 96 actually has an 8.25. Highly doubt it was swapped in cause the past owner(s) neglected the crap out of it. But yeah, I run 33s just fine

91-01 all had an option of getting an 8.25

91-96.5 could have a 27 spline 8.25 or d35

And 96.5-01 could have a 29 spline 8.25 or d35

96 and up had most of the 8.25s and were available in 2 versions: 27 or 29 spline
