Default Axle question

I have a 92 with a 4.0 HO. The previous owner swapped in a 8.25 which is locked he probably welded it. I was wondering if it could stand up to 35"s because thats all I have laying around right now. I dont want another broken axle.

35's are a little big for a locked 8.25, but that really depends on how heavy your right foot is.

Ya thats what I'm afraid off because I'm probably going to be taking it up rocks and may need power to get up something.

if your carefull and dont get the tires bound up you should be ok just remember when driving to take it easy becsause IMHO 35s are about the limit for the 8.25 im sure people have bigger tires on them but if you wheel it hard thats about it from stock axles
