Hey. There before I ask the question, I have looked thru most of the threads and couldn't find anything with the combination of things I need. I hope this is the right place to ask. My 95 xj is lifted 6.5 inches and when I put it in 4 wheel part time or full time I get a real bad clunking noise. I'm wondering (and hoping ) it is not a broken axle. Also when I put it in these drives I start getting really bad squeals. As soon as I put it back in 2wd they both go away. I have a Dana 34 in the back and getting these parts in japan is a challenge to say the least. I have heard that if the axles break then you can lose a wheel and luckily that has not happened to me so. Just wondering if anyone can help or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the help.

Most likely is something with the front axle or tcase. A quick and easy check would be to remove the front driveshaft and try 4x4 again. If it makes noise still the tcase is bad.
