I thought mine was a D35 untill I did my lift! Then I found out it was a 8.25 because the U bolts for the rear leafs wouldnt fit!
I guess I should have known from the limited slip. I don't think they LS many D35's especially in 97+

you got d35. round pumpkin, and rubber fill plug.

The early non-C clip D-35's have screw in plugs. But the screw-style plug is lower on the cover than the rubber plug. So its not an el-cheapo upgrade.
