Axel help

1998 xj base model chrysler 8.25. If I jack up the rearend and spin one tire and the other spins the opposite direction is that an open or a limited slip?

Also why do I need an open carrier to put in a lunchbox?

They dont make lunchbox lockers for limited slip.

Tires spin opposite way then yes its an open diff.

You need an open diff for a lunchbox setup because it replaces the spider gears, a lsd differential housing is casted differently for the lsd components
