Default AX4 Won't Disengage

Need some help folks. Have an 86 Cherokee with a four speed that is completely stock. Over the past year it's been getting harder and harder to shift into gear from a stop. Have had the trans out five times. Replaced pilot bearing, throwout bearing, clutch cover, slave cylinder, and clutch disc. Nothing fixes it. Input shaft doesn't seem bent. I'm at a loss for what is the problem. The little beast is a real workhorse and don't want to get rid of it, but this is driving me nuts.

Air in the system or master cylinder failing seem the 2 most likely causes. Did the slave come with a new master as one unit?

Both the master and the slave have both been replaced numerous times. they didn't come as a set. Followed the amc shopmanual bleeding procedure, then the haynes manual version, then tried them both again. Nothing seems to help. oh and replaced the steel hydraulic line to the slave twice. When I replaced the pilot bearing I checked for any signs of odd wear from a bent input shaft and there was none. It's driving me nuts.
