swapping a AX-15 in my 89 MJ and am ready to stick it in... but theres a whole on the top pass side with a spring inside it... i have no idea what it is but dont want to stick it in till i find out because it may be a pain to get to later... whatever was there was gone when i pulled the tranny from the yard... and the speedo cable mounts on my 231... but any help soon would be nice as i was about to install it... headed to get some new bolts instead of these stupid hex bolts... lol...
I just crawled around under mine looking for what you are talking about and couldint find it. Can you post a pic?
i dont see it on that diagram... let me run out and get a pic... should have done this in the first place... lol... brb
thats a spring you see in the middle there... i can pull it out... if it was a vent or something i wouldnt think it would have a spring inside? but it may be? cause im not seeing any other vents yet? i read somethere about them being on the shifter plate or something...
