I was reading farther in the thread with the instructions, and I see that I should hold the button down, push the cable in, continue holding the button down, then WOT on the throttle?
I originally released the button after pushing in the cable, and before WOT on the throttle.
Thanks for the quick feedback.

Right, I've actually seen that. But from the thread that Cruise posted, if you read farther on, there are people that say to keep holding the button down after pushing the cable in and while going WOT on the throttle. I just want to make sure it's done the right way.

Hey Guys,
Well so far so good with the shifting! I hope that it stays this way! It definitely rides nicer, and shifts nicer. Almost too nice going into 2nd, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Only thing I've noticed is a kind of whining noise when I'm sitting idle. If I put it in park it goes away, and I think once I've been driving a while, it doesn't do it either. Kind of hard to explain exactly what it sounds like. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Let me know if you guys have any ideas of what I'm talking about.
Thanks again! Really hope it continues to stay this way!

Hey guys, any ideas on my above post? I just want to make sure this isn't creating another issue. I've also noticed that it still does it when it's warmed up and I've been driving a while. That being said, it doesn't do it all the time and I've only noticed it while sitting idle in drive. But again, doesn't always do it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Check to see if all the engine to trans bolts are present and tight.

Hope some of you are still catching this thread!!!
So I readjusted my TV cable to make sure I had done it correctly, and it unfortunately adjusted back to where it was originally and is slipping again. Is it safe to adjust it back in manually a little so it can go back to shifting tighter? I don't want to screw anything up.
I just don't understand why it would shift nicely when it was (apparently) adjusted incorrectly, but slips when it IS adjust correctly.

I wasn't sure if it was or not....
This is what happened, to make sure the TV cable was adjusted correctly, I did the process again yesterday. Pushed the button down, pushed the cable & conduit in all the way, released the button, then WOT on the throttle, and it made it's adjustment.
Unfortunately I must have done it wrong the first time around a couple weeks back, but it was shifting much tighter after that time. This time around it adjusted back to where it was originally (before I ever did the adjustment) and the trans is slipping again.
What I'm curious about is if I can manually adjust it myself without repercussion. Push the button down and then push the conduit/cable in just a little to get the trans to stop slipping.

The cable needs to go toward the passenger side of the vehicle when the button is pushed down.
Release button.
Open throttle linkage to WOT.
