Changed the ATW, or at least started to and the plug stripped on the way out. Now I can't find one at the local parts store. The only alternative is to get one from the JY or Dealer, or I can drop the pan, drill out the hole and put one of the universal adaptors on it?
Any one have any idea?
Also, if the engine is running with out the ATF in the tranny, will that hurt anything? Will it help get all the ATF out of the cooler lines and the torq Converter?

I would assume you could drop the pan and retap the whole for a new plug. If it's threaded then you should be able to alter it for just about any plug/adaptor.

Does any one know the thread pattern and size and all that info for the drian plug? It is cross threadded so bad I can't even tell what size it is. I am going to try to get a regular bolt and see if the will work.
