Aw4 solenoid question
Have a 98 with the aw4 tranny I have a engine light on and it's showing shift solenoid B is bad. I cannot afford to buy a new set for around 2
$200 I found a set at a jeep jy but the aw4 is possibly from a 2wd. Will these solenoids work in a 4x4? Thanks

If you find you must replace.
Highly recommend daccotransparts on eBay. My set was no where near thae amount in your posting. Found them after getting the Dacco part number from the local Dacco Transmission Parts office near me locally.

My 98 did te same thing. Had the 2 shift solenoids replaced and works great now! I took it to a transmission shop with an old Chrysler mechanic who is a transmission specialist. Said its the first time he's ever had to do solenoids on a Jeep cherokee in his 35 years of work

It did feel sluggish before the got replaced. But my dummy light was on and it would shift perfect cold but as soon as it got warmed up, it wouldn't hardly shift.
