I dont know if this fits in here or not but i got a 94 XJ and i new from the start i was going to have to replace the flex plate so i got a new one from a tranny suply shop here in san antonio tx and it look exactly like the one i took out but whin i put it in and bolted the tranny up its was smashed up aginsed the plate between the motor and tranny and i took it back and they blamed it on my motor witch i know is not the case cuz the crank shaft is in the same position as my wifes XJ was i thought if i bulted it to the torce converter it would pull it back just enough to work and now i hit another problom that the flex plate is to fare forword to get close to the thrids on the torce converter. Slow heres my question other then the dealer my local parts houses say they cant get a flexplate i can maybe call and order one thats not going to cast me an arm and a leg like the dealer and wont take a mounth got get like the dealer?
