Hey all. On a 98 when should the AUX fan kick on? Tried turning on the AC- no fan movement. Defrost, maxed heat and blower fan cranked. Still nothing. Never had any overheating issues. Just wanna know. Thanks

I just replaced mine, it should turn on when the ac is on, and/or when temp gets to 195? degrees

....when the temp reaches 218F.

Yea thats it.. The fan will turn on with the ac, and at 218 degrees

Thanks guys! I left the XJ running in my driveway while I waited for replies. Never passed 210 the hour I let it run.

Is there enough freon in the system? iirc, the ac fan comes on when the compressor cycles. If the freon charge is low and the compressor doesn't start, the fan will not come one.
