Do you know how strobes actually work?

You don't just replace the ****ing bulb.

First you have to get a strobe module, from say Sound off Signal, or Code 3. Then you must have a switch to activate it. Wire it all in, and then you have strobing headlights.

You don't need to replace the bulb unless you have HID lights that take a second to get to full power.

I know this because I sell strobe kits to law enforcement and security agencies.

Thats just a bulb, a halogen strobe TUBE. Its not gonna strobe unless you've got the hardware to make it strobe.

To answer your question cutting the housing/reflector isn't gonna hurt anything.

But its not gonna strobe, so whats the point?

If you got the correct hardware it should have a wiring diagram with it.

And hey, its a SOS product like I sell!

We use their ETHFSS, usually with a CV at the end to denote that its for Crown Vics.

You shouldn't. But be careful, wouldn't be a bad idea to try on some JY housings.

Its not like they are plastic and will melt, which is the biggest concern I'd have.

I think you just splice them into the power and ground, but I'm not an install guy. I just sell the hell outta them.
