Replace blower motor, came on for just a second
and went off, I know I have a bad blower resistor as the old fan would only run on hi. ok so I checked the 30amp fuse and even replaced it although it didnt look bad, looked at other fuses but all looked well, I went to the plug that connects to the blower motor resistor and found that no power is coming to the plug, on the plug, I understand that the yellow with brown stripe wire should have power at all times but it does not have power now. This is a 95 Jeep cherokee country 4.0 auto trans. I have a replacement blower motor resistor ( the one that is under the passenger sided dash) but havent replaced it yet. did want to blow it of something wasnt right on the blower motor
thanks

ok, pulled heat controller out of dash, plug looks a little mangled but not melted, double checked and plugged in and all works. did notice that the switch has 5 connections but only 4 wires coming to the switch. fan now works on lo, med 1 and med 2 but no high. looks like this is not factory switch as it has the markings on the top of the controller with yellow paint pen, which around here generally means a junkyard part. is this the right switch since I dont have but 4 wires coming up to the switch ??
thanks
