Ok. As some may know. Its friggin cold. This morning it was 2 degrees out. So i went to start my jeep. Which was ok. But when i tried to shift into reverse. It was stuck. So i had to go take another vehicle. When i got back today it was alittle warmer. It was 10. I turned it on for 10 mins and i more or less forced it into drive. Now. I cant get it back into park. What the french toast?
I have recently changed the trans fluid and the filter. I havent had any trouble until just resent. So anyone else have this problem? Is my transmission shot? Anything i can do to fix it????

Maybe its not the tranny but the linkage itself. I have only owned mine a few days so Im not real familiar with them but isnt there a shift cable or some type of linkage under it. Maybe the cold is causing this to stick.

Didn't they have a brake interlock not allowing shifting into or out of Park without jamming on the brake pedal? Maybe that cable is stretched?

Does the brake interlock run on any fuses or anything? Also. Is there a way to disconnect it so i can try and shift it? Its just sitting in neutral right now.

Did you check the linkage? Is there snow/ice billed up on it? Rock in the way? Did you look under it at all? I mean could something be broke/partly broke?

nothings frozen/blocking/stuck to the linkage. Now as for broken. From what i can see (and feel for about .3 seconds coz its friggin cold) there isnt anything broken.
