This makes me question my problem solving skills. I have a weird issue when the fog light relay is in where my brights don't turn off and I have to turn the lights off completely to get low beams back on. I assumed that the fog light relay was the culprit for my lights staying on when key was turned off before the lights were turned off too. Tested it after reading this and they stayed on. turn the key to on and off and they go off.

 

I did in fact find the owner's manual. It says 45 seconds.But lights go out when I hit the switch.
The fellow I bought this xj from had doors off and,left me quite a few electrical issues to get the thing closer to stock.
So the door switches in the glove box may have something to do with this..

It doesn't base the time off the door opening. The time is based off of when the headlights were turned off.
