Lightbulb Audio Specs + installation 99 XJ

I am looking at a new audio system for my Jeep (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...udio_D352.aspx) and i have researched what the specs are but i cant seem to find them. i would like to know if the system i am looking at is good quality stuff or if anyone has had problems with the brand. also, is there anything else i need to make the soundsystem better or anything i am missing that is required?

I've never heard of this brand of speaker. For less money you could just go to WalMart and buy new Pioneer 6 1/2 front speakers and 5 1/4 rear speakers and have a nice sound system. Install takes about a half hour, unless you are also getting a new receiver.

Diamond makes really good speakers if you want more bass. If you're looking at a new receiver as well, go with a Sony. They compliment the Diamonds pretty well. I don't know what kind of sound you're looking for but if you want clarity and still have really good bass, go with Pioneer 6.5's up front, Pioneer 5.25's in the rear, and a Diamond sub. I'm running that set up with an 8" in an XJ Pod and a 220w Rockford amp under the rear seat and it sounds great.

you can fit 6.5"s in the rear with some drilling. i just put alpine 6.5"'s front and rear with a 10" kicker comp sub and a kenwood 350 W amp...lil sun puts out some serious BASS...

Diamond Audio is good equipment as far as their subs go. Have not listened to their other stuff. Note those speakers are only rated for 45W RMS Go with a 5 1/4" on the front doors. Or buy a 1" spacer and mount on outside of the door. You will get much higher power handling and they will sound better. Don't try to drive those or any non sub below 80hz as they won't take much for long. Use a sub for everything below 80hz. Put good speakers in the front doors with a sub in the back and you won't need rear speakers. The money you save not using rears you can use to upgrade your fronts to a good component set. Onlinecarstereo.com has good prices. But I bought a "sealed box" component set from them that was missing the tweeters. Took me two days to get a real person and almost two weeks to get my tweeters. Check out Millionbuy.com, Sonixelectronics.com, and Woofersetc.com. Very good sites, prices, and service. Also if you run comps you will need to amp them to fully enjoy what they offer and make them shine.
Good luck with the install.

I run the D352 component sets in my sisters car and they are loud and sound extremely good! a sub compliments them really well i might add-in her little PT cruiser the Boozaka sub tube was perfect. 6.5" components will fit nicely as well. I am big believer in Diamond Audio i run the Hex series in my jeep and love it! i will never go back. i complimented them with 2-10" rockford fosgate subs.

As you can see there is not a bad remark on them and they almost always have no bar remarks. I will get you my setting that i have run my sisters at so you can tune it on the desk if you get them. They are run off of a kenwood deck.

also you can instal your crossover in the kick panels(such as how i did mine) and then just have the speaker wire running into the door and then if could post a picture of your door i can highlight a perfect spot for the tweeters.

Just a little continuation to get some peoples knowledge. Does anyone know the Cubic air space and such to properly configure a single ported box for 2 15in memphis subs.... There is a 2200W foose arc audio amp connected to it with pioneer 5.25's in the doors.. the stocks are connected to a 100w Rockford Amp all together with a pioneer deck. Im not completely sure on how to properly do porting, and its just a small side project for the summer time. Any ideas?

I have 1" tweeters in the front dash, 5.25's in the front door panels, 6x9's in the rear hatch, 10" sub in the rear pass. side pocket. All speakers, (except the tweeters) are Rockford-Fosgates. Sounds great.

Those speakers are great for the money, but like I posted before, the head unit makes all the difference. I would put these in my Cherokee for sure with my Alpine unit. You might want to look at putting some dyno mat behind the door pannels also, that will help with the overall sound.

It is not about the "name" , it is about specs. Ever brand makes high end speakers and low end budjet speakers. You need to look at how efficient the speaker is or the "sensitivity" . You want this number over 90. This tells you how well the speaker uses the power goming into it.

what i just put in my jeep
I just put four kicker ks5250 speakers(5.25 inch) in mine and a twelve inch JL Audio sub in the back , with a JVC kD-HDR20 head unit. it sounds killerrrr
