Ok guys Ive posted about this thudding noise when I start/turn off my jeep and over some bumps(also more frequent when there is weight in the back seat ie: 1 passenger). I've tried tightening the torque converter bolts and it seemed to help a little (a couple bolts were barely lossened off). Then when it didn't go away I check the plate the bolts for the tc go through for cracks and it looked good. What else to check guys? The noise is getting more persistant and this is my DD so I need to get it fixed asap. Thanks for the help guys.

Make sure your exhaust isnt touching anything behind the muffler. Mine had this wierd noise and it turned out that the exhaust was hitting the shackle under ignition and shutoff, as well as any bumps.

x2 make sure none of the hangers are busted, i ripped one up while wheeling, and my exhaust would thud everytime i hit a bump.

Check your exhaust. I had a thudding sound (turning on and turning off/on road bumps) and it was my cat bouncing up and down. Easy way to check motor mounts is have someone start your jeep as you watch it. See how much the motor rocks left and right. Or grab the valve cover and pull/push a little to see if the motor has any movement. It should be pretty stuff. Also look at the mounts with a flashlight see if they look out of place or the pin is pushed out. Feel it if you have to. It should be solid no rips or rubber stick out. Also Just shake your exhaust when it is cold and see if it hits anything.
