Not if you use the 272310.

No, that is the NAPA part #. If you have an aftermarket radiator with more than 1 row you might run into trouble installing it. You may have to loosen the radiator to install the zj fan clutch.

If that is the case, your motor mounts may be shot beyond belief. This shouldn't be an issue

They are bad! I'm going to replace them very soon.

Although, I have heard some people with the 3 row radiators have the same problem with the ZJ fan clutch.

And their motor mounts are fine? I had zero issues with my 3 row/ZJ clutch combo

I don't know, but on the NAXJA forums and elsewhere there seems to be a several people who have trouble with the 3 row and the ZJ fan clutch.

I have a CSF 2row and needed about a 1/8" more to install a ZJ fan clutch, I didn't want to force it nor mess with loosening up my radiator, so I'm waiting to see if new mounts help out.

My guess? Those several people had crappy motor mounts as well.

Standard ZJ fan clutch in an XJ or heavy duty fan clutch from a ZJ into an XJ?

It was the 272310 from NAPA. The fan would have had plenty of room to spin once I got it on the studs, but I didn't want to bend any radiator fins in the process.

That's the one. Could always loosen up the radiator at top temporarily.

Yeah, I plan on upgrading my motor mounts next week. If that still won't allow me to install the fan, then I'll do the radiator trick.

I have a hayden std duty on there right now. Only about 6 months old, but I don't think it works real well in city driving or hill climbing. Was thinking of giving the ZJ a go or getting a Mopar one from the stealership.
