Default Anybody put older seats in a newer XJ??


well i just got to the shop and am goin to attempt to put the 89 seats in my XJ(2001) and i looked and the mounting brackets are different.

just looking for some ideas/advice from you guys, or maybe one of you has done it.

I have to ask... Why put 19 year old seats in a 7 year old vehicle.

If I could find a good set of 84 leather low back buckets I would use them in my 'Manche in a heart beat....

IIRC.. the bottom of the brackets are different, but the part where the brackets mount to the seat themselves is the same.

You can't just mount the new brackets for the seat on the old seat and use it. Prolly be an easier mod.

nope there is no way these are gonna work without some custom (time consuming) brackets.

still up for ideas or if some body has done this
