By itself water is the best coolant. However it freezes at 32 degrees-not good. Antifreeze has lubrication, rust inhibiter's.and eythelglycol (sp?) By itself it does not make a good coolant.

Default maybe

Being a little thicker may not circulate as fast as watered down antifreeze maybe cause over heating.

just set it to where you live, i live in the upper midwest so i set it at 50/50. if you live down south i would say do a 70/30 water, if you live were its really cold i would say a 70/30 split in favor of antifreeze. if you run pure antifreeze it doesnt cool very well in warm climates. just make sure the water is distilled and not tapwater
