Hey guys, I have been having this problem for the past month and cant figure it out for the life of me. It first started out when my radio stopped working while driving but when I opened the door it started back up. so I figured the wires in the door were shorting out. fixed that. started working again. then I had a fuse blow on me (IOD fuse. #16) traced it back to the ipod connection to my radio. So I took that out replaced the fuse and it was fine...for a day and it blew again. then all my gauges and radio and windows stopped working. I absolutely needed my windows to work being it was 95* out and no A/C. so I fixed them due to a lose wire in the speaker but the fuse is still blown. still no radio or gauges. any ideas? I suck with electrical stuff so it was a gift from God that I got the windows working. I pulled all the stuff that I knew went to the fuse (door switches, radio, dome lights, under hood light, vanity lights... i think thats it) and it still blows. I have no idea how to properly use a multi meter so I believe thats out of the question.
And I dont know if this matters but the door locks only work when unlocking not locking.

I can't be of any real help but I can confirm that the above symptom is a result of a blown IOD fuse, along with all the other stuff you described. When my fuse blew, I could only lock the doors when the driver side door was shut and the ignition was turned on.

Same exact problem as Original poster.
let the gf borrow the jeep she comes back, radio not working, dome lights not working, and gauge cluster not working.
Friend slams the passenger door the radio pops back on.. locks work sometimes, sometimes the windows work.
-_-''
i replace the iod fuse... it blows almost immediately.
i took out the entire fuse kick box on the passenger side, to see if by chance the back side was corroded. the insides were shiny and in proper working order. i did notice a hack job wire hanging off of the box for the aftermarket sunroof i have so i disconnected that. i disconnected everything to the radio, and disconnected the hood light.
im going to try disconnecting every single dome light and tear off door panel to see what i can find.
i did notice the blower motor resistor has corroded leads.
i have a extra small battery in the rear of the vehicle and 4 or 5 0gauge grounds running off the battery.
i did manage to get the gauge cluster to work again by jumping the Constant powerwire from the radio harness with the battery. but wire heated up to fast so i disconnected b4 i melted entire harness.
i will SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. and make a write up about it. even if it takes me 40+hours -_-''
