Default Another Olive drab Project..

Thought I would share this with you guys, Im doing my second rattle can project...I sanded it with 180 Grit, Used self etching primer on bare metal parts and almost finished priming...Here are some pics:

There was some rust and dents there that I repaired with bondo..

I was starting to take them off but I broke two of the bolts because there all rusted out....So yea I just said forget it

Pull the flares off, and replace the nutstrips with regular nuts and bolts.

yeah seriously you will rip one off one day and see the blue paint and be like GOD that's ugly plus the strips are cheap and so are new flares if they brake off.

Really ok..But how would I get to the head of the bolt all I see is the nut.

Trust me... tear them off and you'll see where the bolts go in from inside the flare.

if it were me id paint the flares after you take them off with Krylon Fusion just a few light coats, black or whatever color or want, didnt look like u covered the door handles either lol.

Really ok..I might just do that then. Yea I didnt tape off the door handles lol I ll paint those black after.
