Sorry for making another thread about this, but Im in over my head on this one. I know questions about oil pressure come up often but mine seems to be a bit different.

I have an '01 with about 130k on it. Lately, the oil pressure has been dropping to almost 0 when parked anbd running, but ONLY once it is hot and has been hot for a while. Seems like it does this mostly on hot startup. Cranks right over, starts, doesnt knock or anything, but gauge reads 0. If I goose the throttle just a tiny bit and let it go back to idle, it goes right up and holds at 9-12. In other words, I dont have to hold RPM to hold the pressure, just a tiny bump of the gas for a split second gets the pressure to hold at normal.

I dont have a mechanical gauge to verify this. Im just wondering if anyone has experienced this. FWIW, I'm using 10w-30 and a fram toughguard (I hate fram but its what I had available at the time).
