Default Another Light Switch or Harness Issue Question

I just installed LED headlights with DRLs using the factory harness and switch. Everything went perfectly until I turned the lights off and they stayed on at about 10% brightness. The way i understood it after a lot of diagnosis is that the factory switch doesnt actually have a true 'off' position and keeps a tiny bit of voltage in the harness. I have no idea if this is correct or not but I'm assuming that the putco relay harness will be an easy solution for this? Am I correct in that?

Thanks for all the help guys. Just to let everyone know I said F*** it and bought the harness. It worked. The lights now work as intended they turn on when on and off when off.
