Very true on the armor, I actually took a hit to my underside that caused a good bit of really annoying damage because I didn't have any armor going other than a transfer case skid. As one of the guys I was wheeling with said, "you get higher than three inches, and you start messing with the geometry of the rig, and all sorts of things go out of whack...I've seen tons of people with five, six inch lifts who can't go the places I can. They've got all this ground clearance, no armor, and they're riding open [differentials]."

 

At 6" I'm not going any higher. My XJ already feels "tippy" enough with the stock width axles and rims. It's all about the armor, now.

I saw somebody had mentioned Diamond Plating for the rocker panels and rear corners of XJs. Where can I get it at?
