another gas gauge ?

another gas gauge ?
My gas gauge all of a soudden decided to go past full then slowly went down to where is should be but now it stays at what ever level the gas is and doesn,t go to e when I shut it off,no big deal or is it something to come in the future

I believe it is no big deal. As long as your gas gauge works and shows you how much you have left in your tank then your good. If you want to go ahead and fix it then go on. One problem is that someone who wants to jack your vehicle and sees that it shows how much gas it has in it they mite take your jeep. That happend to my dad one time.

go by the code of my buddies and I: unless its a major component don't fix it till it breaks. With transmission, engine, transfer case and axels changing your fluids is a must but with everything else I just leave it as is until I break it. and i've broken plenty...U-joints, fuel pump. mirrors.
