Another dash light problem pls Help !!
Hi Guys
first post requesting help.
Yet another '95 Cherokee Sport Auto and the dash lights are not working.
Done a search and followed all the usual suggestions.
So far i've pulled and checked all fuses - all ok - both under hood and footwell.
I've pulled the instrument cluster and cleaned all connections.
Pulled and cleaned the headlight switch - looks ok no broken bits.
Any other suggestions ????
How can i check the the fuse bases and what else could it be ???

Haven't checked the fuse connections .
What is the best way ?
Just a multimeter set to 20V and probe across the connectors with the fuse out ??
Also i'm not sure which fuse is the one for the dash lights.
Can you tell me which one it should be . Thx

Ah i see - use a 12V test lamp and cross the terminals - if it lights up - eureka - there is power.
Thx will try that.
Any idea which fuse i should be looking at ??

Yes I had a Jeep 95 a few years ago.
Took the switch out and cleaned the rheostat up , turned the **** both ways and no joy.

Finally sorted :-)
It was bad connections behind the under dash fuse box.
2 wires and the connections were corroded.
replaced with inline fuses and hey presto - all ok
